Afghan Student Association

Federation of Bangladeshi Students (F.B.S.)

FBS is a registered club under the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (SFUO) with the objective of promoting Bangladeshi culture and heritage to all! We support many activities within the university community, while also organizing events of our own. Since it’s inception in 2005, FBS has participated in SFUO sponsored events such as 101 Week, Clubs Week, and International Week, and has also organized an annual formal Eid-Ul-Fitr dinner, a spring charity bazaar, and a trip to La Ronde.

The Iranian Student Association at the University of Ottawa was founded in 2000 as a non-profit cultural assembly helping to provide a connected network accessible to Iranian students, staff and alumni at the University of Ottawa. ISAUO sole mission is to help establish a sorority for all Iranian students who are interested in keeping a connection with the Iranian community in Iran, and the greater Iranian community in Canada. Lastly, it provides all Iranians and other ethnicities the opportunity to be introduced and/or absorbed in Iran's diverse traditional, folkloric and modern cultures, through the planning and celebration of ceremonies, national events, and activities.
